Friendly visits
A volunteer visits the person regularly to chat, share a coffee and break isolation.
We help older people who are homeless or facing housing and daily-living difficulties, with listening, regular presence and guidance to the right people.
Behind the Mediterranean sunshine, the hardship of older people often stays invisible. Some elders live alone, without a visit for weeks; others end up homeless, or in unfit housing. Our volunteers go out to meet them, build connection, and never leave them to face difficulties alone.
Our role is not to replace social services (CCAS, home-care services, shelters) but to complement them with a human presence and to make access to existing schemes easier. We work hand in hand with local actors to direct each person to the right resource.
